I wanted to open a yahoo store but yahoo suggested web hosting instead. were can i find out more about it ?

I don't actually understand what web hosting is and how it compares to yahoo store. are there any books on web hosting or sites that give a simple explaination.


What I want to do is opensmall a bilingual store(english/ japanese) and sell porducts on the web.
