Dreamweaver Web Hosting Help Please...?

I have made my site on dreamweaver. I want to upload it and i think i do so by using an FTP uploader and hoster. I know i have to also upload all the components of the site such as images and buttons. But i can't find a website where i can upload my dreamweaver website and host it on the web, please help!!!!

I would recomend HostGator.com as a hosting company they are inexpensive and works great if you know how to use cPanel. However their support leaves much to be desired. The good thing is that they have a money back guarentee and if you know how to use cPanel then you're good to go.

Be sure that you will know how to use the control panel, and have an FTP Client ready.

Reply:Another big fan of HostGator here... and I've always found their tech support to be responsive, even to the most technical questions (I'm a software engineer).





GoDaddy, on the other hand... good for registering your domain name, but I've not been to satisfied with their web hosting for quite a few reasons...





1) Slower SQL access because the database servers reside on a different machine than the web server -- also bad because now there are TWO servers involved, and if either of them breaks down, your website is offline.





2) Any communication with outside websites has to go through GoDaddy's proxy servers. Slow and less reliable for the same reasons as #1. Who would you want to communicate with? How about transaction processing sites like PayPal and Authorize.net?





HostGator suffers from neither of the above problems.





I note that you mention a "FTP uploader"... you really don't NEED this in Dreamweaver... simply configure FTP access under the Site Manager.
