I'm looking for a host for my small website (under 25 pages). Any input on good/bad experiences with web hosts? Who is the best?
What is the best web hosting company on the market?
I've used Lunarpages and HostMonster, and recommend them both for their features, price, and technical support.
They both offer a free domain name and you can host unlimited domains with a single account using HostMonster. Other things to consider are the number of databases and web site templates that come with the account, in case you decide to grow your site in the future (Wordpress for blogging, Drupal for content management, etc).
There's a comparison of web hosting features and prices at the link below, as well as a list of hosts to avoid (including godaddy, yahoo, and others that are way overpriced).
What is the best web hosting company on the market?
Network Solutions is really good. I'd recommend going with the Standard hosting package. You get everything you need plus a free domain name for $120 a year. A little pricier than some, but their service is top notch.
Reply:Godaddy is pretty decent from my experience. Very cheap as well. Good choice for small websites.
Reply:I use Dreamhost for my personal website, and I love them. I have not had any problems running any scripts or uploading files. And when I have had questions, they have all been easy to find and resolve through the community forum. The price is also very reasonable. :)
Reply:I recommend using http://www.radixhosting.com/ . I've been with them for half a year now and the service has been top notch. They are one of the cheaper hosts too.
And unlike the other people posting their "personal experiences" here, I don't get paid if you click my link, I think that speaks volumes.
Reply:If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months' time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.
I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent.
Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukend...
They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well.
Visit the site to check details.

Reply:I'll have to recommend reliablesite.net -- I've been with them for almost a year now with 100% uptime on their clustered hosting.
They aren't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I tried dreamhost, godaddy, site5, and all the other hosts that give you an absurd amount of resources for pennies and my site always loaded VERY slow.
Reply:i would recommend one web hosting companies because they offer the best deals at the moment that would last until halloween only.
Reply:I got 1 here http://www.webhostforasp.net . I was using their web hosting service now. so far so good, good speed, good technical support and no complaint from me.
These web hosting provider, they provided 24/7 technical support to share all their experience to you. You will get an extra live chating tool after you join them, live chat tool is for you to chat with your website visitor on your broswer. They also provided 4 months free web hosting.
Hope this may answer your question.
Reply:http://www.uk2.net and I know that because as well as working for them I also have 5 websites hosted on their servers :)
...oh and also according to Pingdom.com and Hyperspin.com this year they've had 100% uptime (which is always nice).
Reply:right now the leader is startlogic hosting, next to yahoo small business. Both are good , its a matter of how much space you need and what price (4.95./month to 11/month)
